Tim's run on the Mon and Brec

My second outing after a 6 week stint on the IC: a tentative 12 minutes of jeffing on the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal. It was most definitely at an easy conversational pace (I hope Tim would have been proud 😇) - if I had run any slower I would have toppled into the canal with the ducks 🦆🦆🦆

Well done to you on completing that run along that canal, I am happy that you did not go into the water with the 🦆 ducks.

Beautiful place for a run. Glad it didn’t include a swim - it’s a bit chilly for that

Tim would be proud of you for sure 🙂👍

Thank you @misswobble it is a glorious place to run, especially when my legs need a break from the hills 😃

what a fab photo! Well done on leaving the IC 😊

Which part of the canal is that? I run the Cwmbran/Pontypool segments…

LottieMW I'm at the Brecon end. I don't know your end at all! One day, maybe...I had been busy studying bus times and happily planning one way jaunts getting ever closer to Abergavenny, until an ill-advised hill run left me moping on the IC with shin splints. Who knows, one day we may pass each other in the middle!!🙃😆

I start at the end of the navigable part! Apparently it’s about 36 miles…I’ve not run further than 10km so I may need to put a bit more effort in 😂😂😂

Gorgeous photo. It looks a wonderful place to test the legs after a spell on the IC and to remember Tim's wise words.

Thank you, it is an uplifting place to be, even if I'm not allowed to run much. Tim's wise words are very much in my mind as I take tentative baby steps back 🤞
