Well I don't normally run in the afternoon but seeing how a day off coincided with decent weather I thought why not !I had actually thought about running this morning but there's something doesn't feel quite right about getting up early on a day off 😁

I only had a light lunch just after mid day so decided to go out around 2pm .

I'm still not running anywhere near often enough but it is slowly starting to feel better again .

I took my usual 5k route which is easy to cut short or extend if I wanted to.

My last run was just 3k so decided just to make this one 3.5

What is very noticeable is that when I'm running regularly, I find it relatively easy to get a negative split run .

But when I'm out of practice and obviously less fit then the splits are very definitely positive!

I can certainly vouch for the old saying

'Use it or loose it'

Anyway, 3.5k done , home and stretched and kettle on 😁

Fantabulous Ian! What a lovely photo. I agree, there’s something not quite right about getting up too early on a day off, well done 😊😊😊.

Beautiful photo Ian, well done on running that 3.5K and in the afternoon, I am sure you enjoyed it

Tomorrow I will run the first 5k on the route I intend to run my first full half marathon this coming Sunday, last Wednesday I ran 5K but that was a practice run on the last 5K of Sunday's run, the other around 11K is on my normal 5K /10K course, my plan is to link all 3 parts together for the HM.

I am looking forward to running it, I'll start at around 8am, that's about 15 minutes before sunrise as its no longer dark at that time.

Well done you... great run and a lovely sunny location! I have only once run at lunchtime-ish.... it was okay, and I was desperate for a run!

You do know that you help keep me moving,, because we are running similar distances... Is that a lane or a farm track or trail?

Yes the weather window was too good to miss , haha happy to keep you moving πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘It's a lane which connects the area where I live to the main road through the village.

I like an afternoon run. That often fits with when I’ve got gaps in the schedule. Those 2/3/4km runs are great to pop in when it’s often a weird time of day for getting anything useful done. Well done for finding a sunshine!

That's fantastic! Well done, it's not easy getting back out there after a long break but every run counts and it's getting you closer to where you want to be 😊 you're making me jealous, I haven't been out in weeks. I just keep thinking about it but then something always stops me... I'm getting very annoyed with myself! 😀🀬🀣
