An old fashioned jog

This morning was my last chance to run before the long haul back to England. I had planned to put myself through my paces on the local 3km circuit but a rotten night’s sleep put paid to that.

I was considering just walking it but decided to turn it into a gentle jog/consolidation run. It really felt good: pace about 8mins30, average heart rate 98, all in zones 1 and 2. And only 5 mins slower than this year’s PB. Ruddy Garmin VO2max didn’t like it though and added another year to my fitness age. But I don’t care - it made a great change.

That sounds like an excellent run, nice and comfortable with a good flow. Good luck with the schlepp back to England 😊.
