Yesterday I ran in a local park and threw in a bit of ‘hill’ training, which involved running over a footbridge a few times. The things we have to do when living in a fairly flat area!
What a lovely treat to find I had got a badge from Mr Garmin for running on 31st October. It doesn’t take much to please me!

Meee!!!!! I did “I need this run” on the Nike Run Club app which was a twenty minute easy run. I’ve had a few tough ones on the trot recently post half marathon. That one was a big change-really felt great. Lovely weather. Everything felt good. Finished wishing I could have carried on. It was an extra bonus to get the ghostly badge at the end!
I did 😃😃 Like BC I had forgotten they existed and had to go looking for it, but it’s there! Reward for running in pouring rain last night, dodging witches, skeletons and ghosts 👻💀🧙♀️
I thought I'd missed mine as due to a change in my yoga class timing it was going to be too dark for a trail run I wanted. Instead I opted for walking Alfie hound on the trail. I recorded it as a walk on Garmin (I don't usually bother as I'm dog walking so much)
Getting home I was SO happy to the badge was for recording an "activity" rather than just a run. 👻
I got a badge yesterday and took my granddaughter for her first 5k run on Friday the . She had been wanting to run with me for a while now and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. She did brilliantly! Picture was from a video recording I took, I took a screenshot of it because of the great photobomb 🤣
I don’t pay attention to Garmin badges, but I popped on to see if I did get my Halloween one for my dog walk yesterday and was disproportionately overjoyed to find that not only I did, but I had a Trick or Treat one too! Happy days! 👻
Double tick for me too Cheeky and Dexy5 ! I had intended to do an intervals session but my Garmin was nearly out of battery and wouldn't cooperate, so I went for a straight 5k and was rewarded with 29.32 - my fastest since 7 July!😀
Well done in your hill training. It must be easy to avoid doing it. I didn't run 😭, but I did complete a very scary 8+mile walk. I later found out that it was classed as "expert" and possibly dangerous in parts. I think I deserve a badge too! 😂
I didn’t - although I remember not getting one last year either and thinking oooh I’ll run on Halloween next year. 2023 I’ll definitely do it 😁. Well done on your spooky badge 🎃🎃🎃
Please accept this response as my official application to join the double badge club! I got both the Trick or Treat activity and the 2022 activity. Bit of a cheeky one though as I only went for one run so the activity one was a double count really-but I have no morals and will happily accept any badges going!Happy running 🏃♀️ ☺️
