I wasn't sure when I set out today how far I'd go, just knew it was going to be a nice long leisurely run. A new route, see where I would end up. I started downhill (for a change) through town and out uphill through the villages. More people than my usual route so I started counting people and reactions, 48 people (including 2 other runners) and only 3 of those didn't respond to my cheery hello (those 3 just ignored me). Headed back up the hill towards my home village and managed to get to the top without losing my breath (so you know I was really slow😊🐢) and at just over 8K so I turned right instead of left at the end of the hill and tacked on an extra 1K out and then back again. 10K done and feeling very smug. 😊
🎉🎉🎉10K,😮 who'd have thought I could do ... - Bridge to 10K
🎉🎉🎉10K,😮 who'd have thought I could do that
Congratulations to you MOuse on completing your first 10K run, well done, you should be very proud of yourself 😊 🏃🏾.
Congratulations Mouse, I knew you’d do it! You are a force to be reckoned with and you truly inspire me - we started and finished the ct5k around the same time and then the magic plan (I did timed) and reading this post will really spur me on to hit that 10k mark in the next few weeks. Brilliant achievement 👏🏻🤗 🥇
Amazing isn't it how far we've come in a months and I know you won't be long before you're celebrating your 10K day too. Happy running
Very well done on that first 10k .

Happy running!
Thanks 😊 I think I'll stick with 10K, that's further than I ever thought I'd run and far enough for my elderly knees
Congratulations M0use on your first 10k! It's a great feeling, isn't it? I disagree re the elderly knees though. I'm older than you, and can tell you there's plenty of scope for you and your knees to run further in the future, if that's what you'd like, of course.
Counting the people made me laugh - I'm not sure I see that many in a month! Unless I can count people in cars?
Happy running!
I usually see about 3 or 4 dog walkers at most, this was unusual as the new route took me through the town and 2 villages, interesting to me that one of the things that stops a lot of us from stepping outside the door, that fear that you'll meet criticism or be mocked or judged is thankfully a very rare occurrence. The vast majority of people are friendly. 😊
well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏃🏻♀️💐🐌🥇🔟🙌🏼🎉
... and smug you should be. Very, very well done you!
Finishing with an uphill bit too... Yeayayayayy! I love uphill.
Just brilliant. On you go!
Fantastic 😁
Congratulations M0use! That graduate10 badge suits you.
If all goes to plan I’ll be joining you there before this time next week 🤞
Congratulations! 10k is a brilliant distance to run. You must feel on cloud nine. 🏃♀️ 💪 🎉
