Always Something Positive

During my running, I try to avoid thinking of the long terms aims. Thinking about fitness and weight loss isn't helpful for me.

The only way to get these ling term targets is through the short term achievements

So, I always try to find some positive aspect to every run. Last weekend's 6km sortie was particularly productive

1. Seeing butterflies fly out from the path bathed in 27deg warmth (still)

2. Being able to ford the stream at the stepping stones. This will soon no longer be possible when (if) rhe autumn rains come.

3. The smell of the poplars

I agree with you.

And there is always something positive to find in every run - yours are wonderful!

Lovely positives from that last 6k.

The smell of Poplars takes me straight back to standing in a field 40+ years ago, having my feet measured, so I could step out the correct distance to plant young trees.Wonderful how smell can transport you through time.

Thanks for reminding

Happy running.
