Slight error - Does it matter?

Hi All,

I haven't really had a goal since C25K graduation in Apr 21 but recently found I was losing motivation to get out there. I guess I needed a new goal and so have finally thrown myself into JuJu's 10K plan.

I'm on week three and have completed my second run today (7k). But I realised that I got my runs mixed upon Monday and did a 4k instead of the 3.5k specified in the plan.

My question is does that matter? Should I carry on and do the designated 5k on my next run or should I reduce the distance to keep with the 10% increase each week? Or am I over thinking it? 😅

I wouldn’t worry over 0.5km. If you wanted, you could shorten another run but really, I’d just go with it. It’s a guide rather than a super strict programme.

Are you enjoying it? You must be doing really well to have hit 7km.

OK thats what I thought I should do, but thought it best to check what others thought.

Hmmm, I can't say I enjoy the running. I enjoy the feeling of having done it more! 😂

The 7k was a real slog today and it was mainly only will power that got me to the 7k. I was probably ready to stop at 5. I gave blood last friday and I definitely think it has effected me more then I thought it would.

Will see how I feel on Fridays run and if its still feeling tough I might just make the most of the 0.5k in the bank and cut it short.

Thanks x
