It was a lovely day for a run, and lots of other people seemed to be taking advantage of the Bank Holiday to take their dogs for a walk. Normally we hardly see anyone when we're out and about.
Today's run was NRC's Triple 7s, one of my favourites. I can't believe I haven't run it since the end of April! I ran it much quicker then too!! Oh well.
At the end of the run I felt like I'd done enough but my husband was still raring to go. I let him carry on ahead of me and followed at a much slower pace. My heart rate was higher than I'd have liked so I took it easy, At one point I just stopped, bending over to breathe deeply, and to my surprise two walkers overtook me. I hadn't even noticed they were (I did go past them again, I wasn't going that slowly).
Once I got home I laid down on the lawn to do my cool down stretches. The sky was a glorious blue and I noticed a fluffy white cloud corgi!
My son reminded me I'd promised him American pancakes, bacon and maple syrup for breakfast which probably explains why I've put on half a stone since he's been home from uni but boy was it worth it, how much fatter I'd be if I hadn't gone for a run at all
