If he won’t run he can walk

I ran yesterday and wanted to go again today, I had a bit of a think and asked Willow if he fancied a walk on the Downs. He drove so I said you choose and he parked near the cemetery. I was a bit surprised 😮 as it’s the steepest path to the top.

It was beautiful, so we walked up for 15 minutes and round a bit so we walked down for almost 15 minutes, Running has made such a difference, I can march to the top without stopping. I used to stop every few yards to catch my breath.

I can’t describe the views so posting a photo from the top.

Willow really enjoyed his walk so that’s what we’ll do on rest days

Be happy all

🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩

How lovely!

I was thinking of you this morning as well, when running down a hill.

I used to tentatively walk that hill down slowly, interrupting my running, being aware of my sensitive knees. Now I continue running down that hill. I remembered we chatted about going up and down hills on this forum, the first time I noticed that improvement.

Running keeps on giving.

It certainly does keep on giving, when we got back to the car I had 2 minutes to go so I ran like mad down the road bit and Willow met me at the bottom in the car, I’d forgotten why I was running for half hour and 3k’s though then remembered the challenge so out for a run tomorrow

That is a very beautiful photo Sola, I am glad that you can walk/march* up that hill without stopping, I am happy that Willow also enjoyed the walk.

*using the word march sounds as if it was some kind of route march. 😊

It was a perfect day for a hill walk, might wear trail shoes next time though, the tracks are narrow and uneven

It is thanks, didn’t feel like a rest though as very steep, here’s a photo facing the other way

Wow what amazing views and the weather looks like it was behaving for your trip.

I went up the hill with views this morning while walking the dog, all I could see was rain on the way 🌧️
