I’ve quietly been very disappointed with my garmin music, I really thought it was going to solve the problem of carrying my phone, but….. the music cuts in and out as I run, sometimes it sorts itself out in the first few minutes and sometimes it does it for a whole long run, hence going back to my phone for music, and thinking I could have bought a non music garmin and had money left over….. until the other day when I lost an ear bud. I bought new, in the sale and not too much money, I thought I’d go for the ones with a hook over the ear, I thought I’d go for pink because they are pretty. They are more flesh coloured and look a bit like hearing aids 🙄 ah well.
Anyway, this morning comes around, we set off for the beach, it’s high tide, 26 degrees and much too hot to run, Willow wisely sits on the blanket and waves me off, I set the music going, I set the watch off and run, ooo the updated bluetooth is obviously better because the music plays smoothly all the way there and all the way back.
I say all the way but it’s too hot to run so 1k there and 1k back and I’m ready for a swim, so that’s what I did, I’m pleased with the new earbuds I’m pleased with the run, and the swim was bliss
Keep cool if you can

Good on you for even contemplating venturing out in this Sola. 🥵🥵 I did an NRC speed run - hills at that - but in the comfort of an air conditioned gym! 🫢
Shame you’re not getting in with your watch. I don’t have a music version, purely because I like to have my phone with me at all times, but I can see the attraction or not wanting to carry one. Mr Cheeky has earbuds and loves them. Glad you like yours.
Thanks, oh the watch is great it was just the bluetooth dropping every time my arm went back so very frustrating, the new ear buds seem to have fixed that they are bluetooth 5 point something instead of 4, technology goes out of date so quick nowadays
I contemplated a Garmin music then read the reviews and changed my mind. I just carry my phone in my flip belt, along with my key, tissues, lip balm....sometimes a tiny water for anything over 10k.. but I did upgrade my trusty forerunner 30 to a 35. 🤣🤣 Actually not a helluvan upgrade but I am getting to grips with it now. I don’t like anything too complicated. Strangely this is supposed to be an upgrade yet certain things are missing such as the ability to scroll up as well as down, you just have to keep going down and down till you reach the top again. Which is a bit annoying but it does have a couple more features on it....plenty for me.
The whole reason for a garmin was because a) I’d wanted one for years and b) because I dropped my nice new iphone and shattered the screen. So it was always going to be music, but due to the bluetooth issues and using NRC I’ve been taking my phone, having lost an earbud on the last run it was time to replace, the new ones are much better. I’ve recently upgraded my garmin too and not much of an upgrade but I yearned after the bright shiny screen ones. And I love it 😻
I got my Garmin vivoactive3 because of the music but I never managed to connect it to my earphones 🙄 I still love the watch so not complaining.Well done on that run! Swimming afterwards must've felt like such a treat 🏊♂️
