The weather so far in Cornwall has been more moderate than in many other parts. Nevertheless I set out on my usual Sunday 6km run earlier than usual, and for the first time ran it anti-clockwise to avoid the final really steep finish.
It was great to see so much from a different angle - previously unseen buildings and fields. Also, much that seemed level before is definitely uphill ! Final time: exactly the same as usual.

Lovely pic! I often reverse routes to avoid getting bored or to change my mindset if I've found them tricky before - always amazes me how they can feel totally different!
And yes, running a route the other way around feels strange and exhilarating in an odd kind of way. I think I’m pretty much an unadventurous runner: love my known routes, I have to really devise and plan ahead if daring a new route, and I love the familiarity of an old one.
So running a known route the ‘wrong’ way around is pretty much as adventurous as I get. 🤣🤣
