journaling my running journey

after some recommendations for a running specific journaling app for my phone and was wondering if anyone used one at all, i know i could go old school and use a pen and paper journal but i doubt i would be able to read my handwriting after a while and i have a tendency to write then rewrite sections before committing that days entry

i want to write down my progress as i go from c25k back to where i once was before covid in all its sweaty glory.

i have tried blogging before and i think this is more for my personal recollection than anyone else's at the moment as no one would be that interested in my running exploits and personal musing lol

i'm currently using google keep its free but isn't designed for what i want but its free.

any ideas before i try and plumb the depths of the google/android store

You could use Google Docs.

It all depends on what you want to record, and in how much detail.

Off-the-wall suggestion: if you're only writing brief notes you could (mis)use Strava, as it has space for private notes and you can set the viewing permissions too.

Obviously it's not a journaling app, so probably too limited for what you want to do.

I'm not quite sure this what you mean but I record all my runs / exercise (times, distances, heart rate etc) on a Excel spreadsheet, its old school I guess but been doing it for years, also very easy to total up your distances. I have the data on Garmin, but still like to keep my spread sheet going 😀

If you use the NRC app to track your runs you can add notes on things like effort, shoes, terrain, etc. so you can use it as a running diary
