Hi everyone, Iβm happy to report I completed my quest for June 2022 today, with a 10K run by the seaside at Bognor Regis! πββοΈ The Red Arrows were at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and apparently flew over Bognor. Sadly I didnβt see them though π
As many of you will know, I was injured for quite a long time (at least it felt like that π) but Iβve been gradually building back up using various C25K runs along with guided runs from the NRC app.
Iβve also used some of the recommended strength and mobility exercises on the Recover app (which is free to those who subscribe to Strava as I understand it). Iβm sure these have helped keep me injury free.
Iβm so pleased to be back out there running again and Iβm immensely grateful for all the support from running friends on here, Strava and at my running club. Thanks everyone! π

Brilliant. That really is good news David. Consolidate there for a while and then you can start building up for the Great South Run again. πββοΈππ
Thanks Dexy5 Iβve got the virtual London Marathon 2 weeks before the GSR, so Iβm following a novice-level marathon training plan nowπββοΈπ After the marathon, maybe the GSR will be a doddleπ€ (or maybe not!)π€£
It is great to get back out there running regularly after a long spell of injury isnβt it ! I am trying to keep my pace down and am just focusing on the joy of getting out there regularly. Wishing you many injury free miles/ks. π
Well done David! A few days early too. That Recover app is excellent, thank you for putting the idea in my head π All the best with your marathon training πͺπͺπͺ
