So one of my targets for June was to run 8k... I ticked that one off this morning πββοΈ I deliberately slowed my pace down, almost half a second/km slower than my 7.5k last Sunday and it felt really good π and bonus, I was back before any of the torrential downpours!!
Goal number 1 for June complete : So one of my... - Bridge to 10K
Goal number 1 for June complete
Congratulations on completing your quest to run a 8K by the end of June, well done, I hope your two boys are very proud of their mother, perhaps they might want to start running one of those days.
By the way if you ran that in around a hour you are entitled to ask the administrators to put 60mingraduate next to your username.
Thanks Al, the eldest only has 2 settings... run or dawdle... I hope they are sporty, sport has played a major part in my life so far but time will tell. The run was approx 58mins so I'm sure the next 500m increase will get me to the hour π
Fantastic achievement and the weather gods on your side π
That's fantastic - well done! You'll be at 10k before you know it!!!
Well done on your 8k - and yes, slowing the pace really helps when upping the distance! By the way, I do believe that if you can run an 8k - you can run a 10k! Just saying...! ππ
Congratulations on your 8k and slowing down to run longer really works and as Sandraj39 says 10k is just around the corner. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Yay!!! Happy 8k done and dodged rain ! Results! πππππ. Looks like you paced yourself beautifully too.
Well done, great achievement- running 8k, managing to slow down as planned and beating the rain - some torrential rain with thunder around us earlier. Happy running π€
Wooo hooo! Well done you!! π€© Always feels fantastic to complete a goal! Go you!! πππ€β€οΈ
Well done Mum22boys. Thatβs so great. Iβve got my 8k on Wednesday. Hoping to run it at a slower pace. With 5k I find I can pace quite well now and always manage negative splits but the longer runs are still a work in progress on that.
Very well done Mum22boys on your 8k run, fantastic achievement.
Great too to slow down a bit for the longer distance.
Glad you managed to avoid the heavy rain βοΈ on your run. I played tennis πΎ yesterday and was on court just after a heavy downpour. The surface was a little slippy initially, and I was cautious running about and turning too fast until it dried up.
Well done again, and Happy running πββοΈ π
Thank you for asking, my knee was ok after the tennis. The court dried off very quickly fortunately.
Unfortunately though my knee is quite niggly again and a little painful following my latest run. It wasnβt a fast or long run but something is not quite right.
Iβm trying to get a face to face appointment with a physio.
Thank you again, and happy running π
Well done on your 8k.
Brilliant Mum22boys... strong running!ππ»xx
