First run and dunk of the year

End of a long week, catching up after the bank holiday, but the blue skies and high tide were irresistible.

Gentle 2.5k along Whitstable seafront, then stripped off my tshirt and trainers and went for a quick swim.

Chatted with the Bluetits swimmers, as my leggings dried off a bit, then lovely run back.

Perfect runk&dunk but I was so sleepy afterwards!

“Run and dunk” I love that! 😂 It sounds invigorating 😳

I remember once years ago when I had walked for many miles and my poor feet were sizzling hot and then I saw the sea. Shoes and socks off and then that first wade into the cold water 😍 Bliss. I still remember how amazing that felt!

One of life’s true pleasures. And in the middle of summer it’s great for lowering hr on a sweaty run

Wow well done you! I only paddled yesterday, but the water after a run is wonderful

That sounds perfect to me. Did the leggings dry off enough?

Yep, the advantage of sweat wicking fabric

Fantastic 👍🏻 I'm getting into the sea most days. Started in Oct and kept it up through the winter, so nice the weather is turning now so can swim for longer.
