Interested in a meetup in Milton Keynes?

I’m planning on running the ParkRun (the one around Willen Lake) on 30th April.

I’m also going to be near the stadium around 9am and again from around 3pm on the bank holiday Monday (2nd May).

UPDATE:

Due to problems with my accommodation, I’m not going to be able to make it to the ParkRun. I’ll still be around on the bank holiday Monday though.

It's a little far for me for a day trip. To arrive at 8.30am I'd need to leave home at 5am. I don't think I'd be up for running after a groggy 3½ hour drive.

And I have to be somewhere early the following morning...

Hi Nowster

Yes, that would be a long drive for a ParkRun meetup!

I figured there might be people more local to MK on here or there might be folks there for the running events that weekend.

I love that you are asking on here! 🙏😍 But I’m also to far away both distance and from running 5ks again. (Building back up after covid and IC)

Are you Parkrun travelling? How many different ones have you ran already?

Hi CBDB

I’ve got into a habit of doing a ParkRun the day before a race so it’s more a case of travelling for races. OK, in this case, the race isn’t until Monday (hence the times that I’ll be around on Monday) but that’s the closest there is. So far, I’ve done this at York and Manchester (Cheadle Hulme ParkRun). I’ve also raced in Newport (South Wales) but that’s within driving range so I ran my local Parkrun before that.

All the best for your recovery.

Brilliant planning! Will keep my thumbs pushed (German for fingers crossed) for your race and parkruns! 👍🏽

Thanks. I’ve heard that about keeping thumbs pushed before.

So, I’m keeping my thumbs pushed for your running build back!

I might have been able to meet up at Cheadle Hulme. (Had I not been ill that weekend.)

I’m still getting used to posting about my tourist runs, I’ll try and do better next time I’m in the area.
