Unplanned and enjoyable

Good morning runners!

After a week working away without any running, Sunday morning was an opportunity to run that I couldn't pass up.

Some stretches and a warm up walk to my usual start line, temperature was cold and a little painful on my bare arms but I knew that would pass once I got moving properly.

I decided I was going to start slowly and run without a planned route or distance plan, just run steadily.

Very pleased to say I managed my longest run in ages (7km) and more importantly actually enjoyed it!

Did think of pushing on for 8 but didn't want to push my luck 😂 stopped the watch at 7 and had a cool down walk home.

Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend, happy running!

Well done on getting back to 7K , it can be tough rebuilding the distances again (as I'm finding out ) 😁

It is! Found the slower pace and unplanned route made it a lot more enjoyable.
