Good morning runners!
A bad day at work yesterday led to missing proposed run day, over ate when I eventually got home, didn't sleep well and still was up at 5am.
Go for a run I thought, the moon was still out but warm enough for just vest and shorts.
Warm up walk, stretches and I was ready for away. I knew within a few minutes that it wasn't happening, tired, heavy, slow and laboured breathing.
Decided I wasn't going to quit all together though, made a quick plan to run for 1k, walk for 1k and alternate until I'd completed my 5k (it's about 7k after warm up an cool down walks).
I'm writing this on my cool down walk after seeing the sun rise, the run may have been disappointing but watching the sun come up over the distant hills was as spectacular as ever and made the early rise 100% worth it.
Meeting friends for drinks today, not seen a lot of them since before lockdown, hopefully the weather plays ball for some beer garden action 🍻😁
Have a great day all and happy running!
