Never had the message before but 'Pull to refresh' just means scroll down on the message .ie, finger on the message and 'Pull down' and release
Something similar has happened to me before. Not sure why but it seemed to just correct itself within 24 hours. I agree with Instructor57 , check you settings and make sure everything is connected ok. Hopefully it will just sort itself out.
Mine had a bit of a false start this morning too. I think it was Jo Jo on the Marathon forum who advised me to completely log out and log in regularly rather than remain logged in for weeks at a time. Hope that you solve it.
