This weather is just heavenly for running. Long may it continue. This morning I’ve done a hiit class and the shortest of the three week 3 runs at 3.5km. There were lots of squats and lunges during hiit so I felt well warmed up and when the 3.5km came up on my watch, I was glad to slow to a walk. Id forgotten how much of a hill there was at the start of my route and I really felt it in my legs. There’s going to be a double dose of stretching today!
As I was walking back to the car, I was thinking that if I’d been aiming for 5km, I could have kept going but it was lovely to slow right down and look at the scenery. I’ve been around a local lake and right now I’m sitting with a coffee watching the wildfowl. 5km on Sunday will finish the week.
