After work me and my mom went to our animal hospital to donate food, carriers and blankets for animal shelters in Ukraine. I was not in a running mood afterwards, but pushed that gremlin aside as I know that skipping 1 run at this moment will lead to more skipped runs.
Faible wifi, but it did its job, so I had treadmill tv, Spotify and the Start 2 Run app. Despite not being in the mood, the run went actually well and I enjoyed it. Running 3 minutes is absolutely no problem, but by the end of the lesson (24 minutes in walk / run intervals) I did feel that at this moment I would not be able to run 85 minutes (10 km), let alone more than 2 hours (10 miles). How have I ever done that??
I know how you feel about not in running mood especially after your donations for Ukraine πΊπ¦ πππin these trying times, my heart goes out to them . I Havnt walked or slow jogged for over a week just not been in the mood, but this morning gave myself a shake and slow jogged I mean slow 10.25 m/k but didnβt want to take chances. Good that your still doing your treadmill at least your dry and not cold, 10 km a long time on a treadmill if u do it , it I suppose if your mind set to do it you will. How is your cat now ? Is it keeping better?
I am far from 10K at this moment, will think how to proceed once I finished the current S2R course. Whether I will crawl back outside or not.
As for my kitty, thanks for asking. Unfortunately she is still not well. The meds are giving her a hard time (she is very sensitive to meds). We thought the seizures had stopped thanks to a lower dose of one of the meds, but yesterday she had this weird moment where it seemed a if it was a mini seizure. We are not sure though. And her weight is so difficult. She weighs too little (combination of stomach / pancreas / thyroid), but she doesn't eat enough (can't because of her stomach problems) and the food she eats has too little calories in it. But it is the only thing she can eat without getting sick. Difficult... and I know she is 'already' 16 years old, but I am not ready to give up on her yet!
Yes, we have her since her 16 weeks and she has always been a little 'baby'. She is a Sphynx (nakey cat) and that breed is soooo cuddly and attached to you. I can't actually believe she is already 16 years with us.
Our other cat has been with us since 2,5 years now, but her age is not exactly known. We took her over from her previous owner who could not keep her anymore due to illness. She came as a stray with her and based on her previous owner's words, she must now be 12 to 14 years old.
Well done on getting on the treadmill, great to hear you enjoyed it. Building back up is such a struggle but if you've been there once, you can get there again πͺπ Sorry to read your cat's not well, hope she feels better soon π€
