I’m due to do W7R3 today. Dilemma- going away Friday-Saturday and won’t be able to run on those days.

Do I run today and then Sunday when I get back or, take extra rest day today, run tomorrow and then Sunday? Worried about falling out of routine. Be grateful for your thoughts . Thank you

Do you mean Couch25k or the magic plan? Wasn’t quite sure what you meant.

But a few days will not make a significant difference to fitness, I would think, so as long as you can keep your routines, I’d think you’re ok.

And the fact that you are worried about falling out of routine (I was and am still) is a sign that you’re more likely to keep to that routine! So 👍🏽👏

Thank you 😊 yes I’m doing C25K again - I never stopped before but, had a tough period of short runs - achieving 25 mins now and feel great 😊

From your other posts, I'm guessing you're on Couch to 5K at the moment.

A few days of not running will be fine. You're not going to lose fitness over a long weekend.

Do whatever will fit in with your other routines. The important rule with C25K is to always have at least one rest day after a run day.

If you're going to be active over the weekend (eg. walking), all the better, but it won't matter if you're not.

Thank you - that’s good to know! I had tough morning at work so have been out for lunchtime run - completed W7R3 😀.

You're now on the less structured part of Couch to 5K. Your next run will be 28 minutes (plus warm up and cool down).

In week 7 I started to change my routes and explore my local area a bit more.
