I completed c25k last January and after a good many weeks consolidation, I started Juju's 60 mins plan. Not long after reaching 60 mins (about 7k), I started having problems, first with my hip then knee. Saw a physio and no running for a couple of months. I really wanted to get to 10k so tried again in the summer but was plagued with various minor injuries.
Eventually joined Damien's crossing the bridge gang and got lots of great encouragement but 6.5k I sprained my calf. I began to think it was never going to happen at 66 but I got going gradually again at the end of October and have run 9.27k today hurray!
Something may happen still to scupper my chances, but hey - at least I've run 9k so thought I would post here for posterity.
I don't post often and feel bad about that as I get so much pleasure from reading all of your posts on here. Thank you, and happy running to you all xxx

That's brilliant! What an achievement and all power to you for keeping on keeping on! I sympathise. I have just posted about getting knocked back and coming back for more so I really get this! Good luck with the 10K!
That's brilliant! Such admiration for you not giving up. As someone who has been set back by a few injuries, I know how hard it can be, but sounds as though running is in your blood, and that's what gets us through!
Sorry to hear that you've had to face so many setbacks; that can be draining and dispiriting. BUT just brilliant to hear that you've regained your running and built to 9k... well over 9k. Well done!
