Hello, my first post into this group - last year I did the C25K ; finishing off with a park Run in early December - today I managed 5 miles - (50 mins). I have eosinophilic asthma which started when I was about 60 so very happy to be out running - best wishes for the new year (if its not too late) colin.

Well done on your 5 miles! Did you follow a particular plan or just do your own thing?

Actually I was planning to run 4 but was enjoying the run so kept going - cold but very sunny at 10.00 this morning.

Welcome to the Bridge! Sounds like you've been doing well by upping that distance. Have you seen Juju's Magic Plan in the pinned posts? A lot of us have used this to get to 10k. There are two versions - one takes you to running for 60 minutes and the other is distance based. I used the time version to get to 60 mins and then jumoed over to start at the distance point that I'd reached by 60 mins. Was great! You could start at the 50 minute point if you used the time version perhaps?

That's good that you are following a plan. Its probably similar priciples of gradual increases to avoid injury? It helps with motivation as well, I think. Looking forwards to seeing your victory posts! Remember to claim the 60 mins badge when you get there. I'm all about the badges.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
