I have just been for a short shocker of a Jeffing run on a very steep hill. Its the first time in ages that I've tackled a hill run and after the excesses of the last week - it was not pretty. In fact, after said excesses my leggings kept falling down and I had to keep yanking on the waist band to preserve modesty!
You might think that I have miraculously lost weight over the hols but no - there is a simple explanation. I've put on just a little bit, but apparently crucial little bit of weight. This means that the leggings now prefer to sit under rather than on the belly, which means a gradual journey downwards....
So the crunch has come - I am NOT buying bigger running gear - that just seems.....wrong 🤣🤣🤣🤣. #jawswiredclub

Well I hope you had a good time during said excesses at least.. and I’m sure you’ll be back in trim in no time.. I fully sympathise though. I rarely gain weight, but inactivity resulting from a mild bout of Covid, followed by the seasonal excesses, has put 3kgs on for me since the end of November..☹️Happy New Jaws Wired Year..😄
Oh dear - so many folk on here have had Covid now. So far I've escaped it despite my husband being a teacher at a school where loads of kids and teachers have had it too. 🤞Welcome to the Club Susi 🤣🤣🤣
I got Covid just as my booster was due, really mild symptoms, runny nose and headache gone in 48 hours, but lingering tiredness, and a very noticeable effect on my fitness.. I’ve just walked the dog from the castle down to the beach and back, less than four kms in total ( no running!), and I was puffing like a train on the way back up the hill.. it might be a while before I run again, or escape from the jaws wired club 😬😳.Yes, schools really are the front line. My son is teaching and went down with Covid on the first day of the holidays.. Glad you have managed to avoid it!
My husband isn't in the classroom much as he's senior team. But with all the staff absences he's increasingly having to man the pumps. They are pulling folk in from secondments and all sorts. Troubkpe ahead after the hops, I fear. Luckily we are both boosted. I hoe you shake off that fatigue soon and get your fitness back.
Thanks.. loads better than I was now, but the craving for chocolate hasn’t subsided yet.. 🙄So much mixed news around about Covid.. certainly seems that vaccines and increasing immunity is helping, but then you hear about another variant.. just don’t know what to think 🤷🏻♀️
Haha! Well done for getting out there! I have also added a few pounds over the last few months. My running leggings are still ok, just! Haven't run for a week trying to settle my hip down, but I must get out there! Glad I saw your post as I too, need a kick up the proverbial!
Haha 🤣 Are you sure it's not the elastic that's gone ? That would be my excuse 😉Seriously though there's nothing more annoying than having to yank clothing into place while running.
Can I join your club .. 4lbs to on over Xmas ? Obviously it's all pure muscle from all the running 🤣😂🤣
I've got one pair without a string and having an awful 'holding my leggings" up run in them they are now only used for yoga . Lesson learnt drawstring leggings only for me now.
Think of it as a full body workout - hill repeats for the legs and yanking for the arms 😂😂😂 well done for getting out there and sticking with it, it's so annoying when that happens 👏👏👏
