Still around in the edges of the fields! I got back to 30 minutes and was feeling so pleased when OH had a health dip, and progress halted again. βΉοΈ However, things have stabilised and Iβm managing to jog along/walk along most days, with the more realistic aim of keeping fit enough to have a sensible base for later progress. Fingers crossed for the spring, I guessβ¦.
In the meantime, a treat for the feet from the company that makes my day shoes - cross trainers with merino wool linings and wonderfully non-slip soles. Ahhhh. So comfy. Feel a bit strange in pavement or road, but so secure on grass or mud, and thereβs plenty of mud along my field tracks at the moment!
Happy seasonal running, lovely folks. Iβm missing you all. π’

Happy seasonal running to you Granspeed, nice 30 minutes run around the fields for you, you will be looking forward to Christmas with turkey and all the Christmas trimmings. Christmas puddings and wine, have a great Christmas.
Thanks, Al. We are indeed looking forward to festive treats! Part of our California family is arriving Wednesday to help us celebrate- a rare treat in these uncertain times! Have fun yourself. π
Lovely shoes, they look so comfy. Glad you are managing to get out to run now and again. I managed to get back up to 30 minutes non stop running but it has been a struggle and life seems to get in the way and knock me back. Hopefully in the spring I can devote more time to it!! Maybe I will see you out there!! Happy running πββοΈππ
Life can be tricky, canβt it indeed! So hard to fit things together. I am in a holding pattern until the weather improves, just trying not to lose all fitness. Come the spring, we must certainly meet up. ππ½ββοΈππ½ββοΈ
So lovely to hear from you Granspeed, and I am sorry to hear that OH has had a dip in health. I know how much the running helps you to keep all the plates spinning, so Iβm glad that you are back in the fields again.
Your new shoes look so comfortable and any extra grip is helpful at the moment. My trails look like tractors in comparison!
Thank you, Dexy5 (and UTS!) itβs been tricky but we are delighted to have made it to the festive season and things are much better now. The ponies in the field are utterly bored with my jogging by, but I am gradually getting to recognise a lot of cheery dog walkers! I do love reading all your exploits on here - I cam taste those seafront cappuccinos sometimes! Happy running, and we will get that NF picnic some day. π
Oh, donβt they look fancy! Nice!!! Flashy indeed! (Do you also find you feel immensely guilty when you buy something for yourself in the 2 months before XMas! But some things cannot wait! Shoes and runner stuff I count definitely in there.)
Ah yes, exactly! π€£ I convinced myself that the Black Friday offers as too good to be missed, as I really, really needed them for the mud! πππ½ββοΈ
Hallo Granspeed! Sorry to hear about OH but hope things are improving now! And of course weβll keep fingers crossed for you in the spring but with shoes like those, Iβm sure it can only be good news!
