Oldfloss I Loved your post…your honesty, your enjoyment of the beauty around you and your encouraging words always inspire me.
….I am a seaside runner…I plan other routes and sometimes do them but usually my body mind and soul head to the coastal tracks..especially now while you catch the sunrise at a decent hour. The changing tides, the different wind and weather patterns. the play of light which affects the colours in the water are different every single day…
The screech of seagulls, the waves crashing on to the shore, the beautiful salty scents filling the air…means I mostly run without music. It’s easier to loose the gremlins and keep going when all your senses are being rewarded.
The young fit runners with their beautiful bodies, and envious running techniques pass me by, usually with an encouraging smile. I especially enjoy those who run with their dogs … it takes every ounce of my strength to run myself let alone be attached to a canine runner..some how they make it look effortless!
Yes I do like to be beside the seaside….
