Tonight I achieved something I did not think possible. I ran my first ever 10km, and now feel like doing cartwheels of joy. I am so delighted!
I only set out to run 8km (as my furthest run so far is 7km), but I just kept on going, I am exhausted but have a great smile on my face. It's not been easy at all, but I knew I needed to keep on going at a slower pace and keep telling myself that I could do it.
Job done!

Huge well done OW! It’s a massive milestone and you should feel proud of yourself! Though if you have energy to do cartwheels, perhaps you could have gone even further 😆!
Congratulations. I have been so busy over the past few days that I missed not putting up the Graduation post for November on time. Very well done to you. I have just given your your very well deserved badge.
First 10K is great. Consolidate a bit before moving up in distance or you might end up on the IC like I did. Thankfully I was only out for one month. But that was one month too long.
Hi Jools2020 👋 Thank you 😊. I am still so pleased with my achievement. Went out for a run today, but still feel a bit tired after my 10k. Managed a 6km today . Happy running 🏃♀️
Hi buzzards. I'm blushing to hear that I have inspired you. Another thing I never thought would happen. Thank you very much for your kind words. I have pushed myself and tried to stay motivated, all in the aim of keeping my mental health in good condition. However, I am also now appreciating the other ways running can help. I've noticed my jeans are getting loose and I don't feel guilty when I east cake 😀. Keep up the good work.
