My 2 days away with the D-i-L must have done me good couldn't wait to get running this morning.
I did half a k walking on the treadmill then set off at a steady 6.5 miles per hour after 1k had to stop go to the loo, back on started again did 3k then treadmill stopped started it up again did another 2.5 then upped it to 7 mph finished at 3k walked another .5 . Had been on for a total of 78 mins but could have gone on for me first time I can honestly say I loved it. I only stopped because my friend was waiting for us to go for a coffee.
When can I start running more than 3 times a week please ?

Actually, one of the things that C25K has enabled is my return (after 45 years!) to playing squash. My FitBit tells me that it's absolutely excellent cardiovascular exercise and it helps that I enjoy it hugely. (I'm not very good but I don't honestly care, as long as people will put up with me for a game or two). So yesterday I actually joined the local squash club and shall search out similarly terrible players to bash a little rubber ball around the court.
So I suppose I'm saying that there will be other kinds of exercise which you can safely do between running days - what about badminton or table tennis if squash isn't your thing? Basically, enjoy - and exploit - the new you!
As Instructor57 says, there's no reason you can't run every other day.
The usual recommendation is that you do not even think of running on consecutive days until you've been running regularly for six to nine months. By that time your joints and ligaments will have become used to the stresses of running and will have built up strength to cope.
When you eventually do start doing that it's probably a good idea to build up gradually, eg. starting with no more two days together in each week. I'll always have a rest day (or two) after a long run. You have to listen to your body too. There will be days when it tells you "No way, no how!" and ignoring it and pushing on will lead to injury.
Glad you're enjoying it doggytail . Impressed, too, that 6.5mph is what you call a steady pace. In my book that's pretty fast: 5k in something around 28.40, if I've calculated correctly.
How does running on a treadmill compare to running outside doggytail? I'm wondering whether time join one for the winter. That sounds like a very fast run to me. Tho we are the same age I take roughly 40" for 5k so considerably slower. I run 3x week and love it. Started just over a year ago.
I prefer to run outside but the treadmill passes in winter when its dark 🤣I've been running since beginning of july and only really enjoyed the last one but I'm sure the speed was wrong I was on fir 78 mins and did 7k xx
