I’ve given up with Garmin as far VO2Max goes. Too demotivating!!
Another recent strange occurrence: it analyses a run by colours on the route. Dark blue is very slow and red very fast, with greens and yellows in between.
Two weeks ago I ran my Sunday 6km but the satellite didn’t switch on for the first 200 metres (built up area). The map afterwards recorded that distance as blue but the rest of the run as reds and yellows. I was Speedy Gonzales!!
This Sunday the satellite did click on from the beginning but somehow registered a pace of 5min and a cadence of 220 for the first metres. This is physically impossible for me unless I learn to tap dance. Thereafter the rest of the run is a very deep blue even though I ran it a little faster than before.
I think I’ll just take notice of time, distance and average pace in future. Negative splits are for another life.
