Yesterday evening I felt my age. My real age, not the 14 years younger which that flatterer Mr Garmin says. My thighs were achier than since early c25k. A combination of overdoing it on Saturday (7k run) and sloth while on the boat, less than 5000 steps Sunday. So today I needed to be careful.
Chose NRC's Morning run with Headspace. Decided to just run easily, pacing myself by how I felt and surprised myself by going a bit faster than usual without really pushing. Covered 3.47 km in 30 minutes and felt fantastic at the end.
Sometimes the suggestions that the NRC coaches give don't feel very relevant but this run was all about being in the moment. Exactly what I needed. Even my thighs agree, at least they're no longer shouting at me 😁

So glad the feeling your age didn't last. I get very despondent when I feel it as I convince myself it's now the downward slope! So reassuring to have those runs when we feel good about it again.
Yes, as I get older I have to think very hard if anyone asks me my age. People in their 60s were REALLY old when I was a girl. I haven't got a perm or a pinny so have to remind myself what the correct number is
I wore dungarees in my 20's and 50 years later am still wearing them! I find myself asking my daughters if I'm mutton dressed as lamb! 70 sounds really old!
I wish I still had my pink metallic lame (la-may not lame lol) dungarees that I had in 1980. Unfortunately they wouldn't fit if I did 😭 happy days. I'm sure you look fantastic in yours. If your daughters were thinking'mutton' I suspect you wouldn't need to ask.
