So, after what seems like forever I was back in my running shoes this morning for a steady 3k loop .
I have had a few issues lately , latest of which was a hip issue .
That seems to be subsiding now following rest and excercise so I decided to test it out with a short run .
Out of the door at 06:45
And it was misty and pleasently cool on my warm up walk .
I decided to run the NRC 3K as I thought it would be a good distance to get me back into it.
I purposely decided to start slow to see how things felt and all appeared ok !
I soon started to warm up within the first half k.
1k in and was feeling good so let my pace creep up a bit .
2nd k was uphill towards the church in the picture but it still felt comfortable and most importantly, no complaints from my hip !
On the 3rd k I was feeling fine and could probably have carried on for 5k but decided to finish at 3 and take my time getting back to distance .
There is no rush and I don't mind how long it takes me .
My pace increased again on the last km so was happy to finish with a negative split run again .
Back home stretches done and a huge mug of tea !
Breakfast of porridge and prunes and a shower to follow .
Then a relaxing morning as I start work in the afternoon today π
