I've just spent 10 days in the Alps. Nothing is flat here, every track that appears flat on the map, is steep.
I did a couple of hikes, walking quickly. I also did two runs of 4.5km with a positive gain of 180m. Let's see if this helps me when I get back into the flatlands.
positive vibes to all

Aw looks beautiful, I hope you had a fantastic time. Well done tackling those hills, hopefully you will see the difference back on flatter routes, maybe they will feel boring and you’ll be seeking out more hills. Happy running 🤗
Nothing is flat in the Alps, running on hills or mountains will help you to run in flatter conditions very soon.Go to the Netherlands if you want to run a 10K or whatever in flat conditions.
