Back from skiing and I had the best week of boys skiing ever thanks to my new found endurance. My 16 year old and I (53) led each day as the others in our group played catch up, what a revelation. so happy I chose to be a runner.
I have let the legs have a rest this week and I plan to start back running on Sunday with either a easy 5k or a longer walk / run to start my next journey beyond 10k.
My little group on Face Book called 2020 in 2020, is building some friendly encouragement for us all and has included everything from running, gym, swimming, bike riding, horse riding to pole dancing in the challenge (yep really). all are welcome so if it tickles your fancy you are welcome.
challenge is 2020 km or elite 3030 km or super elite 4040 km we have people in each level in our 37 members so far.
I hope 2020 is a good year for us all and we all reach some new levels of fitness and self achievement.
Happy Miles all.

Glad you had a great ski holiday - I too found such a difference skiing now I'm a runner. Does your 2020 include your ski Km's ? I was doing between 50 and 70 a day. Enjoy the runs.
No, I only counted the steps, so 50km for the week.
Arguably the lifts do most of the work so i did not count the ski KM or in fact measure them.
We skied 9am to 5pm with a short lunch stop for all 6 days, and we did all the runs at least once, so i think we covered quite a few KM??? I did 200 meters on my back on the last day after a fast crash on a red.
Ouch. I did a high speed collision on a blue but kept skiing for last 2 days and got back to safer blacks 🤣🤣 we skied downhill the equivalent of more than the height of Everest. The crash happened as I foolishly tried to record a very long run. Lesson learnt.
