You may find that you are unable to add photos or other images to your posts at the moment. HealthUnlocked are aware of this problem and are working on it.

I managed to work around this issue in my newest post by resizing the image before uploading it. I went from a typical 1080p image (1920x1080) down to a small 750x422 image. The file size also substantially went down. I'm not sure which one of them did the trick, but it worked anyway! π
It's probably a back-end problem with something like imagemagick or graphicsmagick, and temporary storage. If the photo size (in bytes) is small enough, it doesn't get processed and is accepted.
Normally I resize pictures to the 702Γ630 that the site resizes all photos attached to postings to. A simpler photo which became a sub-200kB JPG file was accepted. A more complex one which ended up about 400kB was rejected.
Often I upload in PNG format to lose least quality when the site requantizes the image.
