Hi there

Yesterday evening i tackled a 6k run. Went out at the same time as the family who walked the dog. I had a spare set of car keys so our rdv point was the car park.

I hadn't run 6k for over a year, it was a challenge. I had a few shin aches and I needed to control my speed at the 4k point to get round.

I was running slowly as usual. I crossed a much more serious guy in the opposite direction who gave me a friendly nod and raised his hand. This is proof that , if you have your trainers on and you are running.....you are a runner! Most other runners are happy to give a wave, there are no condescending or scornful looks. If you are a runner, just run, speed isn't important.

I was quite happy to complete . And my chilled tea (with apple and calvados flavouring) went down a treat.

At home I flopped into the paddling pool and did some yoga and stretching in the water. (I recommend)

I send you my good vibes.

Unfortunately I will be spending all day in the car tomorrow, my body hates it. Then holiday in the alps, will be challenge for running.

Great run and so happy to hear you were greeted so nicely by other runners. That dip in the paddling pool sounds lovely. Enjoy the alps, watch you don’t overdo the hill running - downhill is very hard on the shins. Happy running 🤗

Bon courage for the journey, especially if it involves the A6! Where are you off to? Happy Alpine running, wherever you're heading! ⛰️🏔️⛰️
