Hi there
Yesterday evening i tackled a 6k run. Went out at the same time as the family who walked the dog. I had a spare set of car keys so our rdv point was the car park.
I hadn't run 6k for over a year, it was a challenge. I had a few shin aches and I needed to control my speed at the 4k point to get round.
I was running slowly as usual. I crossed a much more serious guy in the opposite direction who gave me a friendly nod and raised his hand. This is proof that , if you have your trainers on and you are running.....you are a runner! Most other runners are happy to give a wave, there are no condescending or scornful looks. If you are a runner, just run, speed isn't important.
I was quite happy to complete . And my chilled tea (with apple and calvados flavouring) went down a treat.
At home I flopped into the paddling pool and did some yoga and stretching in the water. (I recommend)
I send you my good vibes.
Unfortunately I will be spending all day in the car tomorrow, my body hates it. Then holiday in the alps, will be challenge for running.
