So it’s been 3wks since I stopped running due to calf pain, doctor said it was a pulled muscle. It’s now back to normal. I am going on holiday on Saturday. Normally I would do a run tomorrow but am thinking it might be best to do a walk instead as I don’t want to run and then find I have pushed too hard and hurt the calf again. I’m away for a week so thought would try a run after my holiday. Do you think it’s best to walk for now?

Advice after calf pain
A walk, definitely. If you like you could do a very short run during it (eg. between two lampposts) just to test your legs.
You could always take your running togs and shoes with you on holiday...
Yes, I would walk for now .You don't want to risk hurting yourself just as you go on holiday !
And, another week will probably be a good thing 👍
Walking is good, if you have a chance on holiday to try some different slopes and terrains that will give you a good idea how your calf is reacting. Remember to include post walk stretching - they’re not just for after runs. Happy running 🤗
Thanks, will do. Been doing lots of yoga /Pilates to help with my calf.We are at the same caravan park in Devon as last year and there is a cliff walk we did so hopefully will do again. Have 2 special needs children though so can’t do steep walks as they cannot cope with them. The cliff walk is quite good and they coped with that last year.
