I have been out of action now for 2months with a twisted knee done whilst mowing the lawns lol.

The knee is on the mend and I am champing at the bit to get back out.

Please I need advice as to when and how it’s safe to get going again.

Are you doing any other exercise at the moment?

If you're not already, I'd suggest getting out and doing some brisk walks of about half an hour each just to get the legs moving again.

If you want to test the knees whilst out walking, do a gentle jog between a pair of lampposts. If it feels OK, you might be fine to try some intervals running the next time you go out.

Try one of the runs from the early weeks in Couch to 5K. See how it goes. Do one run from each week of 1-4. See how that goes. If the knee is fine, pick up C25K in week 5 and progress through it normally.

You can increase faster than that if you're feeling really confident, but this is about as safe as it gets.

I agree with everything nowster suggests, best of luck. Happy running 🤗
