W5R3 - 9 runs to 10km!

A very wet run today! I faffed for ages before I went out but the weather wasn’t improving so I decided to just go for it. As today was my repeat 8km, which last week I did in 58:12, I’d already decided I would run for 60 mins today to hit that milestone and hopefully get a little bit further.

I found it quite a tough run mentally for the first 5km but the end was much easier as I wasn’t worrying about my pace as I usually do with a distance goal. And what do you know, I was actually faster than last week! 8.35km done in 1:00 exactly at a pace of 7:10/km!

Thank you, sounds like you had a brilliant one this morning, I definitely did not look as cool as you by the end of mine! 10km is definitely feeling in reach now though, very excited!

Haha, I was the Queen of Slow this morning! No after run aches at all.

Exciting having 10K within your reach. This last few runs will fly by.

I used to focus a little too much on my pace ( I’m not fast at all ) but I did find the timed runs helped with that .Sounds like you’re on your way to a well planned and executed 10K 🙂👌

The faffing is universal I think 😂😂

Fantastic 60min run, great pace. You can claim a shiny new 60min badge to display for your last few runs of the plan to 10k. Happy running 🤗
