Not a (Not)Parkrun, but almost?

Went for a short 35 min run around my old C25k route through countryside, farms and fields, yes those where hubby and son had in the past cut down nettles from the path.πŸ₯°

The farmer has been so nice and not only mowed the fields but the path edges as well, and my oh my, doesn’t a broad bendy grassed and mown path just look so inviting to run it? (Pic on bottom and top right).

Thank you 😊 πŸ™ farmer, whoever you are!

And someone also had cut down a large tree branch that had fallen on the path during some of the last storms. (Pic top left)

Again, I’m just so grateful, as I now have my favourite short route back, which started me on C25k and is the nearest from my doorstep.

Other things from this run:

- ran on empty, having had only a large glass of water with lemon (worked fine, no feeling of hunger afterwards but not sure I’ll wait 3 hours! πŸ˜‰)

- (Hashimoto tracking: Had a tiny headache beginning to emerge and took a crumb of T3 before run. Headache gone and I feel great.)

- Was quite cool and am considering taking thin gloves next time

- Full cap as cooler and under trees over fields (ticks)

- Drizzly rain was great

- Saw some herons flying out of a bush I was passing

- No goats on this route! πŸ˜„πŸβŒ

Happy running everyone!

What a great track that kind farmer cut for you πŸ˜€ and a good run, I’ll take herons over goats any day, it’s amazing the things we see when out on a run

Yeah, I was just thinking today how great (and a bit self-righteous πŸ˜‰) I feel after a run, yoga and a healthy breakfast. But feels great!πŸ˜„

I’m glad the lemon water worked for you πŸ‘

I’ve not run across fields…although I do have a pair of trial shoes! How convenient to have that on your doorstep!

Yes! Trial the trail shoes πŸ˜„, I really do prefer trails over streets. But it is a different kind of running.

I think I may be worried about uneven ground with my over pronation and dodgy knee!

That looks a great place even for a walk nice and soft no pavements and even no jaggy nettles. I could do with the farmer on my route I walk overgrown all way along to the horses and goats, but The goats run off if u get too close to the fence . Glad u enjoyed your run today😊

That field track looks so inviting πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ I run by the coast so it’s all herons, oystercatchers and the odd pod of dolphin , but my daughter has just moved into farming countryside. Looking forward to passing cows and sheep . From the confines of their own field of course, may pass on the goats πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yeah, I’d take dolphins any day over goats! 🐬 πŸ¬πŸ˜„

Lovely route πŸ˜€ Sounds a great run. Well done for running on empty. I used to always have a fruit tea first thing in the morning (run or no run) but sometimes I would feel a bit queasy (acid on an empty stomach?) so tend to stick to warm water now. What was the theory behind the lemon?

See doctorshealthpress.com/food...

Or a more balanced one from bbc bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide...

In short:

- digestion

- metabolism

- neutralise stomach acidity

- Immune system boost

- etc etc.
