Good for you for doing a Parkrun and for your time! I honestly think that time is pretty good considering you’ve just graduated.
It takes patience and numerous runs to start chipping away at our speed and the whole process can take months, so please don't feel discouraged and just keep sticking with a routine of running for 30 minutes three times a week. It will pay dividends eventually but unfortunately there is no short-cut without risk of injury.
Running itself does not help us lose weight, but needs to be done with proper balanced food intake. And a certain level of fatigue is normal when we are putting our bodies through an increased exercise regime. But perhaps a chat with your GP would help with your concerns.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I would also agree with the previous coment , you have just recently graduated and a 5k parkrun in 42 minutes is absolutely fine !I wouldn't worry about it , it can take some time for the pace to start reducing !
P.S
I notice you don't yet have your Graduate badge on the C25k forum ??

Plus it's another 5K in the bank that no-one can take away from you.
