60th birthday run with (not) parkrun #60

Well, it just had to be done didn’t it? It was just too tempting. I was at 56 after last week, so have had to record 4 (not) parkruns this week to make it happen - 3 on my own and one with Shake-and-run . By 2.5k this morning I was on target for sub 30, but sadly, as some of you know, I live on top of a French hill in summer and, however hard I try, I always have to finish runs uphill. Final time 30.44, which isn’t bad! The weather is rather overcast and a little drizzly, so perfect for running, but not great for my post run champagne birthday brekkie on the terrace 🙁 Oh well, hopefully it will improve for our meal out tonight in the medieval heart of beautiful Bergerac 🇫🇷

Thank you 😊 We’re going to be here for another 6 weeks and hoping the ‘amber plus’ nonsense will have disappeared by then. Only drawback is return to real parkrun will have to wait until September 🙁

Thank you 😊 The view is fabulous. I have started cheating though, as I walk up the short steep hill just outside the house as a warm up and then the first km is all a more gentle downhill. Still have to run back up it at the end though 😖

Thank you Dexy 😊 It has been fab - Apero Sunset in a vineyard, Michelin lunch at our local restaurant, aperos on the terrace at home, a BBQ, dinner in the medieval heart of Bergerac and a free concert on the port, in the company of my cousin and his family and Shakes. Diet starts tomorrow 😂😂
