Heat got the better of me

Headed out for a run today only managed 4 mile. I took fluids with me and slowed down a couple of times for a drink but towards the end felt quite nauseous and even though it was early morning the heat still took its toll.

Take care Polly in this heatwave. Like here in Swansea, sun must be a rare occurrence in NE Scotland 😉 my last run was last Sunday and I doubt if I’ll run until this heatwave is over and we get back to our normal three seasons year, autumn, winter and spring, rain, rain & more rain! I did however walk just over 5k yesterday. Happy 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🤸🏼‍♂️

I hadn’t run for a week too VeganDave and was worried about loosing what I had worked so hard to achieve. I am definitely looking forward to cooler runs 🍂 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ 🌱

Don't worry about it too much , hopefully it cools soon... Try earlier or later in the day 😳I've got a 10K race today at noon and I'm dreading the heat, but can only be sensible, and walk when I have to 😰

I've been getting out this week about 9am and that's been far too late. The max I've been able to do has been 5km. I've been getting too hot and having to stop and walk the rest.

Also the flies love me!

Well done on getting out there but Nausea sounds like dehydration !Do not forget to be fully hydrated before you run , so keeping up the fluid intake on non running days .

That's quite a distance in this heat, well done! Hope you're feeling better. I so struggle in these temperatures, can't wait for autumn runs 🍂🍁
