Finally taking the plunge and starting Ju-Ju’s Magic Running Plan! I have decided to do the 60 minute plan as the timed runs have seemed to work well for me so far.

For a bit of background I have completed the C25K program twice. Graduated once in Oct 19 and again Aug 20. Have picked up running yet again this year and have got myself back to 30 minutes and have been consolidating at this time for a few weeks. I also ran my first 5K this week since Sep 20!

I have really been enjoying my runs and am ready to take it further now and work towards a new goal! Any tips would be greatly received 🙌🏼

Ran my first run today - 15 minutes. Had a good run and couldn’t believe how quickly time passed when a few months ago 15 minutes felt like a lifetime! Was a very hot and sweaty morning, so need to work on getting out of bed earlier if this weather is going to stick around!

Time: 15 mins 13 seconds (didn’t realise i’d finished lol), Distance: 2.42km, Av. Pace: 6’16”

Hello and welcome! Good for you for getting back to the running and ticking off some goals there 👍 you’re clearly ready and raring to go for the next target. And especially well done for hitting 5K again! That’s always a great benchmark for us runners.

Follow the plan, take extra rest days if you need and don’t forget the usual - warm-ups, cool-downs and stretching afterwards. Make sure you’re always well hydrated, especially in this weather, and not just before your run.

There’s no rush so take your time and enjoy going through the programme. You’ll get loads of tips here from others and you might want to consider joining the Quest

Good luck, enjoy it all and keep us updated on how you get on 🍀🙂
