Last October I started running using NHS C25K. Laura is so great. I had loads of advice from the couch to 5k community here. In April I entered the Virtual Vancouver Sun Run and did my first 10k on the Wednesday. I had never even run 5km all out so I decided that I would run, even if slowly, the full first 5k then stagger back as best I could. A coach friend, hearing my experience was thrilled but said I would have been better to walk the first 5km and run/walk intervals back. Well, there were two days left in which to complete it. So out I went on Friday and did as he suggested. I improved my time by 10 minutes for a 1:34 and some seconds PB. I have registered for another in September and am running 3 days a week for 30 minutes with coaching. I'm 73 and wish I'd done this sooner.
Please may I graduate 10k?: Last October I... - Bridge to 10K
Please may I graduate 10k?
I'm guessing that Oldfloss is probably catching some snooze time, but I reckon that badge will arrive in the morning 🌅🌄, but you could just drop a message on the badge page and it'll nudge her into action as soon as she wakes 🤓.

A cracking job btw and definitely requiring a badge of honor 👍
Congratulations, you deserve your graduation badge, you should get it very soon, Vancouver has been in the news recently due to the awful heatwave of +100F temperatures, certainly not weather for running, fortunately the weather is now getting a little cooler.
😀Thanks AlMorr , there's no rush.
The west coast has been so hot, I didn't attempt running. Today has been overcast and the forecast for the SW corner near Vancouver is cooler this week. However a very fast forest fire overtook the small town of Lytton, about 3 hours away in the very hottest part. The temps there were a record for Canada at 49C last week. They think sparks from a train may have started it. Terrible.
Love your new shiny graduation badge, well done on achieving 10k. Happy running 🤗
Well done coolfemme. I can thoroughly recommend juju’s magic plan to get you to running 10k. You’re never too old on here and there’s a few of us who wished we’d discovered running earlier in our lives.
