Ran a quick 30min route this morning, knowing that at work I have a couple of hard days ahead, coordinating a residential.
So I knew a quick run would definitely give me the runner’s high spirits that would support me over the next 2 days.
It was cool, rain had held off. My overgrown path had been thankfully sheared off by my teenage son who we didn’t have to bribe very much to earn some pocket money to clear the route of brambles and nettles 🥰.
And now, all stretched and showered, about to head to work, I feel great.
Today is also exactly a year since graduating C25k, but I celebrate rather the start of my running journey than the graduation, as the highlights keep on coming. Tomorrow a year ago, I started another life changing habit: 5 weeks of Strength and Flex also with Laura of C25k podcast fame. A year later, I’m doing daily yoga or Pilates, I have a workout corner in the living room. My legs and arms feel so much stronger and bendier.
Just 10 days ago I felt i had fallen into a running slump, but now, having run short runs every other day, some in the morning and some in the evening, I feel on top of the world again.
Happy graduation runniversary, I like to celebrate that too🙆🏻♀️ Great that the regular shorter runs have worked so well for you. Best of luck in your busy work schedule. Happy running 🤗
Yessss, grabbed that mojo trying to escape and pulled it back. No chance I’m letting it completely go. (I might loosen the line a bit, but never drop it completely!) 😃👍🏽🏃🏽♀️🧘🏼♂️
This is a great time to start S&F. I did it in our own garden, getting to know trees (pull-ups), rocks (squats), lawn and paths (marching for warm up). I was actually thinking of revisiting it again, as I miss the garden workouts!
Well done! It’s always good to hear how we find ways to lift ourselves from these slumps, and a reminder that these ebbs and flows of energy are normal human experiences. It makes the return to form all the more appreciated and enjoyable too. 👌💪🏼😁
Awwwhhh 😊🥰🙏 yeah and it definitely also has helped me to keep on keeping on! Just fabulous how this community self-helps each other! We got our collective backs! 😃👍🏽
