Ooh thank the higher good!!!

I managed to get a run in this morning,

A very slow 5K , but I can't tell you how pleased I am to have ran and no pain,

Yesterday I consentrated on yoga for legs.. after hurting my knee stupidly jumping rope on Tuesday 😭

It's really put my HM training back a week or so..but I'm trying not to mind so much, just the glee of knowing I'm back is enough...for now,πŸ™

Happy Running all πŸ™Œ

At least the knee didn't bother you in your run. As for the running, slow or fast: you ran a 5K and that's what matters!

Here's hoping πŸ™ itching for a longer run but think I will do a strength training day tomorrow, maybe a 5K afterwards..rest day Sunday and see if I feel ok for a longer run by Monday 🀞

If you're also doing strength training and since you're running on consecutive days maybe go for a shorter run tomorrow? Just in case (I'm always on the side of caution!) Whatever you decide, good luck Monday! πŸ’ͺ🀞

Brilliant, really puts a smile on your face after a forced break doesn't it, oh the relief 😊

I can imagine you have to be careful with skipping as it seems pretty high impact, much like running can be πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Skipping was going well for a few sessions, had researched,.. been running for 9 months and thought all was fine.. only took three jumps that morning and I knew I'd done something.. just a little twinge but still put me out of running for a few days 😭I'd warn anyone to be very cautious πŸ™

Don't think I'd risk it as the aches I get running are in my lower legs...don't want to risk aggravating my shins/achilles.

If you enjoy it, maybe you could try doing it on grass, find a mossy spot & hope it's bouncy πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€ž

So pleased you have managed your 5k without pain. It’s like dipping your toes in water and testing the temperature. So you slow 5k was probably the sensible thing to do. It’s rubbish when you can’t do what you want to do. But today is definitely a positive run. Brilliant πŸ‘

Hiya Dups, positive it certainly was 😊Really itching for that longer run.. Monday or Tuesday I reckon I will give it a go πŸ™
