Take 2 - First run with newer new shoes - better!!!

Me again! I've gone from not posting in a while to doing it a few times within a week :)

As some of you know from my previous post, I went back to the store on Sunday and got my new shoes changed up for half a size bigger and I can honestly say the shoes felt better!

Although not perfect and slight pain in the same area (again, this is more the skin being pinched/blistered slightly more than bone-related), they felt much better and I'm not sure if it's just the injury from Sunday that I could feel more than anything else - put it this way, I can walk in my everyday shoes without limping compared to Sunday :)

Sadly, I'm not as lighting quick as I thought I'd been in my new shoes (joking!) but I can already tell from the last 2 runs (even when the first was painful on the foot) that my right hip and back don't hurt as much so having a supported shoe really is great - perhaps my foot is getting used to running properly now?

Thank you for all your advice, I think without it I would have just kept the shoes I had and moaned about it so much that my partner would have burnt my shoes altogether :D

P.s. Grannyhugs

30km completed so far this month so feeling good about reaching over 50km in June, especially as 30km is what I achieved for the entire month of May! I've also ran consistently since Monday!

2nd - 5k

7th - 5k

9th - 6k

10th - 1k in the middle of a 5k walk

11th - 5k

13th - 4k

15th - 4k

Thank you. I had 2 days rest on Wednesday and Thursday and I didn't want to go out in my new shoes today because of the rain 😆
