Wow, I'm so happy right now! I can't believe that I've done it!!ππ»ββοΈ

10k - 59m18s π₯³
The last couple of weeks, I've done the 2 shorter runs outdoorsπ³ so I'm going to continue this & build them up, so eventually my longer run is outdoors. I've got a 10k race for life booked in October so need to get outdoors for that! I think I'll do 2 runs a week, starting with 5k outdoors & 10k on treadmill, building the outdoor run up each week until I swap them over (or do both outside!)
What did everyone else do once completing Juju's magic plan/10k?
Please can somebody tell me where I can get my 'badge' ?
Congratulations on that first 10k. ππItβs a good time to consolidate for a while so donβt increase your weekly total for a few weeks, but increasing your outside distance and reducing the indoor distance is a great idea.
Congratulations on your 10k, those are excellent times too.
Personally I recommend you get outside as much as possible now. I'm biased, as I've only ever run outside in hilly countryside and slogging away inside on a dreadmill is my idea of running hell. However elevation, the surface you're running on, and the weather will all make a difference to your run
There's no post-10k blueprint. Your running future is your choice. Slower or faster pace, shorter or longer distances, roads or trails... it doesn't matter as long as you're happy. Personally I love messing around on forest tracks and running longer distances, which is absolutely not what I expected when I started C25K, and still seemed unlikely when I did my first 10k.
Fantastic effort, if it wasnβt for the heat Iβd say get outdoors now for all your runs, actually scratch that, ignore the heat and get outside itβs fantastic. As to whatβs next, what do you fancy? Running 10miles, targeting a monthly distance? Taking part in a virtual long distance challenge. Whatever you choose believe in yourself. Happy running π€
I'm definitely going to work towards getting outdoors more! I do my longer runs on the treadmill for fear of failure outdoors, but I've reached 10k now so its time to go for it I think! 10 miles will be my next target, but I want to work at getting 10k outdoors first π
Congratulations on your first 10K It's a brilliant achievement πππ
And in such a fast time.. really well done!
I just consolidated a few 10Ks and ran a couple of shorter runs in a week, then gradually increased my longer distance by one or two Ks every other week, it's worked well for me so far π
Well done! Thatβs a great time as well. I love Life Fitness, theyβre so bouncy! Congratulations π₯³, bet youβll be smiling π all day. πππππ
