Beating the heat - run and swim!

Feeling very smug right now after having got out relatively early on a Saturday morning to do an 11km run-walk-run. As I was going past a spot where I could get into the lake, I decided “what the heck?!” and jumped in. So refreshing! Then I carried on with the 1.5km back home.

Doing some foam rolling now (ouch!) and then onto my well earned coffee.

Happy weekend, everyone!

What a brilliant thing to do, sounds fantastic on a hot day. It is so lovely to grab the moment like that, triathlons next?😂 happy running 🤗

Hi Grannyhugs,Haha - not sure about the triathlons - still have to get this running thing down!

But jumping into the cool water was a triumph and I’ll stick with the biathlon for now :)

Sounds like a good run and must have been very refreshing to dip into the water! I read run-walk-run, are you a Jeffer too? 😸

It was a good run. I do Jeffing from time to time but I think I’m going to pick it up more now in the warmer weather. I’ve been trying heart rate training too and the only way to keep my heart rate below the maximum heart rate is for me to walk. So, win-win!!
